Portrait Painting
I returned to painting in 2022 after a thirty plus year hiatus. I spent years mixing ink and when not painting became too painful, I seamlessly picked up the paint brush and found my stride again.
In the distant past I painted a lot of landscapes, but now I absolutely love capturing the essence of a person’s soul.
I was commissioned to paint portraits of Canadian icon KD Lang in 2024 as part of my fund raising effort for the Jack.org. Celebrities are fun to paint, but there’s no greater honour than being asked to paint a memorial portrait for someone.
There is definitely a place in my heart for animals as well.
